  Why are you confused?  That is a VERY good question!  You are confused because you just discovered your flush crush, or at least what used to be your flush crush, on your doorstep wrapped in a red blanket, sleeping like an adorable kitten.

 "K-Karkat..?"  You stammer, picking up the small bundle, all you can see is a small face with chubby cheeks and ears that are too big for his head with those give-away candycorn horns.

 You take him inside, why is he so tiny and why was he on your doorstep? Who PUT him there?!

An Adorable Surprise [part 2]

"I just found him there on my welcome mat!  I don't know who put him there or how he got this way but for now he is what he is!"  You sigh and look around your living room from where you sit with Dave on the couch.  Karkat is laying, all curled up in your lap, snoozing as you lightly pet his head, staring at the cool kid for some sort of reaction.  

 "Well, ______, this is your problem, not mine!"  He stands and moves to leave, "I want no part of this."  You grab his wrist and whisper shout, don't want to wake poor Karkitty, "Wait!  What am I supposed to do with... THIS?!"  You point at the bundle of cuteness in your lap wildly, trying to convey, "Hey!  I need some freaking help here!"  but it either goes over his head, or being the cool guy he is, doesn't care as he opens the door.  

 "I'll talk to Rose, maybe she can help since she seems to know all the magic shit, but HELL no I am not getting stuck with grumpy troll-cat duty, you're on your own!"  The door clicks shut, and you widen your [e/c] eyes in disbelief, he just LEFT you here alone with Karkitty!

HELL???!!!!

Well...  at least he said he would talk to Rose...  oh crap, Karkat is waking up, OH CRAP!  He is already off of your lap and running around your house.  You proceed to try and chase him around for twenty minutes, freaking out because he keeps knocking things over.

You tear Karkat away from the fish tank Feferi gave you for your Wriggling Day last year with all of the exotic cuttle fish in it with all of your favorite colors.


 He hisses at you and roars, which you find to be just the cutest thing yet and pull out your phone, snapping a quick pic while he still has his tail all puffy and his mane raised like he wanted to fight.  You smirk and mock box with him, and he bats at your fists, wrapping his front paws around one of your wrists and biting your hand, hanging on.  

 He has needle sharp teeth and you wince, "Ow!  Feisty little lion huh?"

He finally let go and sits tall, seeming to swell with pride at being called a lion and you grin, snatching him up and nuzzle his head, at first he resists but begins to purr and nuzzle right back.  

Blip!


There goes your [f/c] laptop buzzing and vibrating at you and you flip it open, oh thank gog; it is Rose!  As you answer Karkat climbs onto your shoulder and ventures up to sit on top of your head like he is king of the world and watches you type.  Well, atleast he isn't laying on your keyboard. [I hate it when my cats do that! D:<]

You close your laptop and set it aside, just as karkat uses your head as a springboard to launch himself onto the open windowsill.  "Nooo! Karkat don't go out there!  The dogs!"

 You hurl yourself towards him, only succeeding in spooking him, and he moves closer to the ledge.  

Crap crap crap crap crap!

 If your neighbor's dogs, which are always outside, get a hold of him he is dead meat!  You reach out for him and as his back leg trips back, making him begin to fall off and down towards the barking dogs waiting to get a taste of him.
